i was just woundering which would be better, the corsair h50 otr a custom loop, i am only going to be cooling my cpu so i guess it is an easy question for thoughts who know i guess

custom loop will yield better temps... no doubt about it. H50 is a good cooler but it can't compete with custom loops and is priced accordingly.

custom loop would be better of course, but will also cost more than twice as much.
that being said, i used to have a coolit domino (dont buy this btw, it WILL leak) and was able to have a real nice overclock. for the price point of the H50, u'd be better off going with high end air cooler, ull get similar results and wont have to worry about it destroying your computer. or go custom loop, as long as you take ur time and get quality parts, leaks just wont happen.

i want to go water cooling as i want to play games and overclock etc but my comp at min sounds like a concord. i know the new case will help a little but i don't think by much

Go proper watercooling, the h50 is good but you can get a megahalems for a similar price and actually get better temperatures. Watercooling is fun
Use compression fittings if you are afraid of leaks, they never leak.
