Default I will lend you my tap

Since I have been told I can't sell my tap (not enough rep points). I will lend it to anyone who needs it. Just trying to help. The tap is for the 1/4' barbs we all use.

That's a cool offer man. You can put this in the freebies section by the way. I don't think you have to have 35 rep to do that.

Emmm what is this exactly?

I've never heard of a tap and what can it do for watercooling?

A tap will make the threads in a hole so you can screw things (Barbs in this case) into them.

1/4? As in G1/4? Or do you mean the 1/4 barb? If you mean the g1/4 thread then those are common and easy to find. Our mechanic/fab shop has one and I used it to add an extra barb to the top of my res. You can find them at home depot, lowes, and most hardware stores that carry tools.

Its just a seldom used but moderatly expensive tool. Unless your a guy that does a lot of acrylic or polycarbonate res. builds it will just sit in your tool box forever and never get used again.

I don't mind putting it in the freebies section and people can use it then return, couldn't cost very much to ship ,only weighs a few ounces.

I did the Hardware store shopping and no go,had to go to a precision tool shop. Its not a normal pipe thread, its for fittings that seal on a washer or O'ring. Wikipedia calls the thread type "longscrew threads" but the tool store knew them by the name "parallel threads"
