Hello all, I have a few questions regarding to watercooling, I plan on going watercooling sometime around next year (Jan-Feb) when I get enough money
![]() I am willing to shop at the following stores: - NCIX.ca (Canada's Version): http://ncix.com/index.php - Petra's Tech Shop (Probably the most common watercooling site )http://www.petrastechshop.com/index.html More sites that ships to Canada (USA based site?) if you guys would like to recommend some more sites ![]() The custom loop will be cooling my Sig Rig, I'll be using 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD Tubing ![]() My budget is ~$350 CAD (With shipping) cooling CPU only, for now. Seeing how the CAD currency is pretty much the same as the USD, I'll treat it as the same currency as the USD ![]() I'll be shopping at Petra's Tech Shop, this will be my first time shopping here The only online store that I have shop at is NCIX.ca, but seeing how NCIX doesn't have all the watercooling equipment I need, I have decided to shop in the USA ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------- This is what I have on my list so far: 1. CPU: [$79.95] Swiftech Apogee XT (Socket 1156) - http://www.petrastechshop.com/swapxtcpuwa1.html 2. Pump: [$79.99] Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655 - http://www.petrastechshop.com/swmcin12pu.html 3. Radiator: [$53.99] Swiftech MCR-320 "Quiet Power" Series - http://www.petrastechshop.com/swmcqposerab1.html 4. Reservoir: [$31.95] Danger Den Dual 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir - http://www.petrastechshop.com/dadendu51bay.html 5. Fittings: [$27.96 = 4x6.99] Danger Den/Bits Power Compression Fitting (G1/4" Thread, 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD) - http://www.petrastechshop.com/dadepocofig1.html This will be used for the Apogee XT and the Reservoir. 6. Tubing: [$x.xx] 1/2" ID (3/4" OD) Tygon R-3603 Laboratory-Grade Tubing - http://www.petrastechshop.com/1id3odtyr.html I'm not exactly sure how much I would need ![]() 7. Coolant: [$19.99] Feser One Fluid UV Red NON-CONDUCTIVE Water Replacement - http://ncix.com/products/index.php?s...re=Feser%20One 8. Fans: [$25.00 (4-Pack)] 120mm Yate Loon D12SL-12 Red LED Case Fan - http://www.petrastechshop.com/12yalod1redl.html This will be used for the radiator and that my computer's colour scheme is Black/Red ![]() Total: $318.83 Without Tubing, not sure on the tubing yet, and without shipping. -------------------------------------------------------------------- And here are some questions ![]() 1. How quiet is the Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655? dB wise? 2. Anything else that needs to be modified?/Anything missing? Thanks in advanced

www.Performance-pcs.com will ship to Canada and have a lot of parts.
1. Its very quiet. I can't even hear mine. 2. Petra's is out of some of the parts you have listed. Just a couple of things to think about. I have used both single and double bay reservoirs. Double bay reservoirs are by far easier to fill and bleed, so if you have the room, I would recommend one. Also, I've got low speed Noctua fans on just one side of the radiator, which are just slightly more CFM than those Yate Loons. I get much better temps using the fans in a pull orientation than I did with push. You might want to experiment with the setup.

You have done your research OP. Good work!
1. The D5 is basically totally quiet at 3rd setting and below with some noise at 4 but you won't even notice it if you don't listen. 2. Order 5ft of tubing atleast for that setup. It's always nice to have something over when doing your first build. I always order 10m(30ft) but I'm just a slob when it comes to cutting the right lengths. Flip over a mail to Petra's regarding the items out of stock. They are as nice as they come.

Get red tubing like feser and dont get the fluid. Get distilled water and PT nuke and or a silver kill coil. The dye will end up in your blocks, the color tubing wont and you can get UV reactive color tubing.

![]() Oh and another question I have a few Scythe SlipStreams in my case right now, using them as exhaust fans on top of the case, I was thinking, would these be effective for a Pull/Push on the radiator? The radiator along with the Yate Loon fans will be inside the case, while the SlipStreams will be outside the case.

Anyone that is willing to answer my question above?
Let me rephrase it.The radiator along with the three Yate Loon fans will be inside the Cosmos S case, at the top of the case, but inside the case, while the three Slipstream fans will be outside, on top of the case. Will this benefit at all?
