Default Using Rubbing Alcohol as anti-bacterial

Heh..I was cleaning off my heatsink yesterday getting ready to put my old P4 system back together for my little brother (X-mas present), and I noticed it said on the bottle "anti-microbial". I know it doesn't deal with corrosion, but perhaps we could use this in place of, say, zerex, and maintain clear water without staining it with pink or green. Of course, we'd then need an anti-corrosive, but we can deal with that later.

Alcohol tends to evaporate very quickly. It would escape - vapor would leak through the tubeing, and if you have an open reservoir it wont last long at all. The anti-microbial would work for a time, but there would be no way to monitor the level to know when to add more.

Rubbing alcohol isn't corrosive, atleast in the dilluted solutions you get to treat wounds. Higher concentrations would undoubtably be corrosive.
