Alright peeps it's about that time.... Temps have gone up maybe 5-10c since I threw all this together 3 months ago. Have a feeling that I used a bit too much dye and will just do without it for the time being.
__________________I've got a good idea of how the whole cleaning process is going to go but I also want to switch to some compression fittings and maybe get a new res. Right now I'm using some microres thingamabob. I'm content with it but it's not exactly visible in my 1200 =/. I hear a lot about compression fittings not fitting on the HK 3.0 Are there any that fit on it? I'm currently using zipties and I really don't want to put the rig back together with zipties in it. Also what would you peeps recommend for compression fittings?... I need 6 (8 if you know any that'll fit on the Heatkiller 3.0) Tubing size is 1/2" ID (3/4"OD), Thanks for reading this peeps! Edit: Also wondering if I should use a silver coil instead of PT biocide.

7/16" or greater compression fittings won't fit on the HK since they're so close together.
However, you can solve this with a 45 degree compression fitting. The silver coil will work, but if you already have pt nuke, no real reason to get any silver.

ID is irrelevant for which fittings fit or not. 5/8"OD compression fittings are the largest, whether that's 7/16" ID or 1/2" ID. for 3/4"ID only barbed fittings with zipties will fit.

So there's no way to use compression fittings on a HK 3.0? Not even only 1? I read something above about angled compression fittings?.

Just get 45 deg rotary fittings to use compression fittings on the heatkiller

I used a combination of 1 barb, 1 compression fitting on my Heatkiller and other water blocks with very close ports. Worked fine.

The 45 degree adapter should work. Check out this video
Go to around 3:15, and you'll see that large compression fittings won't work, but with the 45 degree ones going in opposite directions, you should be able to use them.

__________________Looks like it would solve my problem! From that vid I've learned a bit about how I can make it work.... Now all I need is a gentle shove and I'll nab some of these sexies. For that reservoir.... Hmm... seeing as how I found the fittings cheap... I could lose ~$40 on it....
