Also is that thermaltake shark case I posted good enough for water cooling?
these Zalman's

If you were to get a water setup, i would skip cooling the GPU blocks, and go for the zalman's... the gpu blocks will just add more heat and put more pressure on your pump...

I strongly disagree with that. My waterblock on my gpu is awesome. It dropped my idle from 65 C to 40 C and my load from 80 C to 45 C. Also, they only add about a 1 C increase in the water temperature and a strong pump like the hydor L40 has no problem handling the extra blocks.

Total = $442.50 before shipping.

On the bigwater idea, I definately wouldnt buy that if you have $500.
Don't kill me for it Bigval, but I think a few changes to this MIGHT make the moeny work a bit better, and well, don't spend $500, that' just a waste since tmps can only get so good on water anyways.

Total ~$380ish

Not a lot of changes, but they will give a bit better performance and look good.

And I fully agree with Bigval, I would not even spend this money on watercooling, not quite needed. You only need about $250-$300 for a great setup, and that includes a lot of the same things but a Storm G4, Double Heatercore, same 2 fans, res, pump Hydor L35, and if u really do want to wc your gpu's then the same bigval suggested would be your best bet.

Heres my suggestion. Get this for cheap:
Copper tdx/g4 storm
Hydor l40
A small copper coil with the thickness of ur tubing
Some tygon tubing

Then, once u put that together, buy an AC unit, and run ur copper coil into it.
Then go out find some oil/benzine based coolant. Ive seen a dude do this, he had -25c temps. Basicly a phase change / watercooling interbreed.
Oh, right, dont forget some condensation proofing!

Here is the list of my fav parts. Make a combo of these and you'll be happy.

Danger Den Maze 4 SLI Kit $129.95 with Swiftech RAMsinks $40
OR
Danger Den NV-68 SLI Kit $259.95 (I like my NV-68 a lot)

Danger Den D5 Pump $74.95

12 ft Masterkleer Tubing $8.28

Swiftech Apogee 49.95
OR
Swiftech Storm 84.95
OR
Little River Storm G5 $220

Make your own heatercore with shrouds for $40 at max + the cost of fans

Danger Den Bay Reservoir High-Density Polyethylene $17.95

I also like Danger Den's MCT-5. It doesn't conduct electricity and it is a coolant/anti micro/pump lube.

*EDIT* Don't buy from our direct links before you shop around and compare prices! We are just grabbing links to show the products.

I'm just curious why only 1 of person recommends the SLI DangerDen cooling for the Asus A8N-SLI ...Is that because you guys wouldn't spend $250 on SLI water block cooling or its just not practical to cool the memory and gpu with water?

I have the single 6800 NV68 full card cooler, and yeah, it's good, but not worth the money over just a Maze4 with ramsinks. I guess for the cool factor, getting the SLI full card kit's work fine, and their perframnce is pretty good too, but spending that much, and sometimes having higher temps on the gpu then with a normal Maze4 does not justify the price. If you really want to get rid of the need for lots of air blowing in your case then yes, the NV68/NV78 SLI sets are a good buy.

Theres what my master piece looks like now...The case runs so hot I can't even use both my video cards for SLI the machine just shutsdown and reboots after 20-30 mintues... this could also be from not enough power since I only have a 600watt non SLI PSU.

I need something to keep it cool its always hot where I live.
