Ok I need a final list of what I should get... I'm seeing lots of ideas but no one is agreeing on anything really.

I figure I'll just forget about the SLI NV68 DD cooler...after reading other sites and reading posts here its just wasting money.

I need to figure out what to get exactly..heatercore radiator all that stuff...

I'll probably end up spending $700 total to include new case and PSU.

Case is my question...I want to get a good Thermaltake case..which one should I get? I was thinking this one is good for the money.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133127

To help with the cable management in my case and to give me more power:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817194004

If you guys have better products that will help me keep my system cool so I can get it overclocked LET ME KNOW ASAP...

$600-700 for case, psu, and cooling... I want what you would get...please don't try and spend all the money just because its what I say I have. That won't give me a very good idea on whats practical.

they are pricey but pretty damne cool and easy to work with (lots of room and modibility)

as far as the cooling i would get a 77bonny heater core, which you can put a couple of 120mm fans on, go with one of the copper cpu blocks thats been recommended, and either couple of the g4s for your cards (you wont regret wc your vid cards) and if you really want one a nb cooler allthough that if anything is cooled by air it should be that one

ive had the 6800nv block, the older a64 tx block, and one of the nb blocks witha black ice extreme (w/1 120mm fan) and i had a 6800gt with a modded bios (1.4v) oced to 400/1100, a newcastle that i pumped 1.75vcore through to get it oced to 2.6 and my temps were

gpu= 42c idle, 63c load
cpu= ambient +2to4c idle, load 47c

i am in the process of setting up my new comp but my opti 170 with 1.6vcore hits 44c under dual primes large ffts

oh and dont waste your money on silver, the thermal conductivity of silver is a hair above what copper is (at the most 3%)

my two cents. dont spend just because you have it. i watercooled my gpu and cpu for under $200. you could do it for 300 or so easy. the temp difference between the strom g5 and a g4 or apogee even is likely less than 5c. so if you want a bragging rights setup by all means otherwise just get what will work. that ebermax is likely good but i have heard great things about the seasonic 600w as well it is about $130 with no rebate. good luck.

Good call Yeah man, $700 is phase change territory period. Any other cooling for that price is by far inferior and a big waste of money. If you're fixed on water just play it smart and get a quality setup for a reasonable price of around $200-300. My

I like my thermaltake case except for one thing. All of my bays are screwless and I would like to bolt most of them down rather then using the rails.

I have been told by everyone that if I am spending about $150 on a PSU get that Seasonic. The sunbeam Nuuo 550W is also something to look at. I like the Nuuo's cable management better.

I agree with Transonic *edit: and Jazino* . $300 is the max to pay for a water setup, but I have the NV-68 and I am really happy with it. Look for a used one if you want it.

Only thing that Seasonic psu seems a little weak doesn't it? The 600w psu I have now has +5V@58A and the Seasonic sits a 30A...

I don't know to much about psu's but would that make a lot of difference?

The whole reason I'm set on water is because phase change is big, bulky, expensive to cool SLI and doesn't seem cost effective for my setup. Try adding another 20-40lbs to your setup and taking that to a LAN party...agghhh. I can barely haul my stuff up 4 flights of stairs now with regular tower and flat screen. lol.

The phase change unit I found last week to cool my cpu and SLI was almost $1000 ... not worth it for my setup. But theres probably a cheaper place but I didn't see one for the unit I was looking at.

Thanks for the PSU ideas I hope this Seasonic is worth it!

im thinking if your load temp is only 39c maybe its not worth spending the money at all, how far do you want to push the 4400??? its 40c here in adelaide today!

Seeing how its winter and I probably won't get temps like that this summer with the 100+ degree temps I better do something. Last summer my stuff was in the 50-65 range on load. To hot for me... you ever played a game when your cpu is already hot? It sucks...

Oh to the guy with the MountainMods cases link - THOSE ARE AWESOME!
http://mountainmods.com/product_info...}55{10}101{3}9

I may just get one of those 120mm x 9 cases and just go with air cooled for now. I can always add water to the same case later. At least with that case I'd be pushing tons of air the right way.

might've overdone it with the price a little bit, but i personally have about $700 put into my WC loop alone, and is expanding as I evolve Project Three Mile Island Rev. C2 into Rev. C3

and I don't care if anyone wants to bash me for not getting phase change blah blah blah, I don't want to kill my hardware, I don't have the money to replace a $600 CPU, I don't have the time, money, or energy to overclock with the big guys - once i turn 18 or some **** and have a larger salary and larger balls to risk $1000 components with, then f*** phase change - i'll be running up at the top of the charts with LN2, but i'll still be using H2O for daily use

Question

So what was so special about that SeaSonic 600watt PSU?
I ordered one but its still in the mail....

The reason I want to spend $500 on WC is because I need better cooling since my house is hot. Its not totally that I want to overclock, it'd be nice..but its not a goal. My goal is spend enough money to where my system runs cool all the time no matter what I'm doing.

Also those MountainMod cases...is it practical to have NINE 120mm fans? Would that really do you that much good? And if I WC that case would those 9 fans be a problem?
