I've got $500 to spend on Water Cooling... I was wondering if anybody could help me build a good kit?
__________________I've been playing with the stuff at DangerDenStore.com and they have a custom A8N-SLI cooler I'll need for my Geforce 6800 cards and my Asus motherboard. But I don't know anything about water cooling. So I could use some ideas and some help... First things first...would this case work for my water cooling? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133143 Next thing....If you had an AMD X2 4400+ and SLI video cards how would you spend $500 on water cooling?

$500 could buy you entry-level phase change, why bother with water?

I wouldnt spend anything on watercooling, i would get a phase change kit, or something like that.
But, if you did have 500 bux to spend on watercooling, dangerden is the way to go... (TDX kit is good, but search the fourms, i know that people build custom kits, and there worth taking a look at)

you dont have to spend ALL of it...
__________________try thermaltake bigwater instead of custom, its easier and works well. everyone thinks they suck because the pipes are thin, but you don't need to hook up a pool pump to make it even cooler....the water needs to exchange the heat between the core and the water, if the water is flying by, it doesen't make a difference because then the heat will just blow through the pipe get a good radiator and hook up some massive fans to it. then get some copper water blocks for everything, but watch out so they aren't too big. the ones on the video card need to be thin, unless you have a big space in the middle EDIT: or just get a thermaltake typhoon, and get upgrades, if you already have the best. phase change

Hmm which Zalmans are you refering to? I'm thinking a phase change cpu kit and video cooling is going to run me more than $500... If you guys where going to buy stuff for water cooling what else would you get? I've looked at that bigwater sounded ok for the money...but seemed to cheap. Also is that thermaltake shark case I posted good enough for water cooling?

$500 on water?
I don't think I've even spent that much on my setup and I have the most expensive block money can buy. Save it for phase change.
