is anyone using these fans on their rad. im looking for opinions on noise (quiet system is #1 priority) and on performance. i would be putting these on my sig rig in a push/pull config.
now before everyone starts suggesting other fans, 25mm is the max thickness that will fit in my case, and i want them to be blue leds. these fans are also only $6 at svc.com and $10/fans is the most im willing to pay.

I'd use Zalman ZM-F3's instead. R4's aren't that good on a restrictive surface.

R4's have terrible static pressure. They're good for case fans, but not much else. I recommend Yate Loons. http://www.petrastechshop.com/12yalod1blle.html They have decent static pressure. The link is to Low speed, I'll try to find some medium or highs.
EDIT: here's some high speeds, http://www.frozencpu.com/products/61...2SH-124UB.html

I have a bunch of these fans for my case and rad. They are pretty much the variable speed version of the R4s. What I noticed is that they really don't have the static pressure to push/pull the air - off the rad at max speed, you do notice a huge amount of air going through (albeit the high pitched noise) but when on the rad, it doesn't have the strength to pull even nearly as much air.
__________________The ones that I had as case fans are great though, so I have to agree with others: case fans - yes, rad fans - not the best option. Btw, the static pressure that CM posts for these fans (5.6mm H2O or smth) is nowhere near what it really is. Same for noise - at 1900rpm it is definitely way louder than 19dBa. Hope this helps. EDIT: For what you're looking for, here are some High Speed Yate Loons if you don't care about the noise, and low and mid speed if noise is a concern.

I am using them with my GTX 240 and I am getting horrible temps (Maybe due to the fans or the horrible GTZ block with dings) So I would suggest no don't use them.
