edit: the HCs from auto parts stores aren't "unscrewable" but you can cut & weld if you got skillz like that ![]()

If you haven't ordered any parts yet just stick with 1/2 tubing and fittings. The fittings that were on my heatercore (77' Bonneville) were 3/4 on the intake and the 5/8 on the out. Luckly the 3/4 was for only on the very end and then went down to 5/8.
__________________All you have to do is cut off the 3/4 part and then throw a cup of water in the microwave for two minutes and soak the ends of the tubing in the water till they get warm then you can work the tubing on to the 5/8 pipe. 3/8 isn't going to work this way. If you really want 3/8 tubing you are going to have to buy a 3/8 male to 1/2 male barb, buy some 1/2 tubing and then bridge the gap between the heatercore and the 3/8 tubing with the 1/2.
