I think i got a big fat bottle of anti coolant, or whatever it is that we all use for our car, its the green fluid stuff that runs around the radiator, i'm just wondering if it will work in a WC set up

It is Antifreeze and yes you can use it, mix it to a ratio of 5 to 10 percent with distilled water.

honestly, no, don't use antifreaze, its toxic, all be it safer than using sodium, or mecury, but still not a good idea.

Check the label. If you see anything saying 'propylene glycol' or 'propan-1,3-diol', avoid. That stuff tends to react with pipes. Not many antifreezes use it though. Most are ethelyene glycol / ethan-1,2-diol, which is suitable for watercooling. Obviously no need for the antifreeze properly, but good antimicrobial.

Be warned though, water wetter is a little stinky to deal with. Maybe its just me, but I can't stand the smell.
