Default warning- orings

just a friendly reminder(im sure most of you allready know this)
check your orings after a while of use, i had my wc rig going for about a year and never thought about checking the condition my my orings for the fittings on the water blocks

when i was trying to install my new mobo and case i had to redo my wc setup and noticed that all of my orings were degrading badly (lots of cracks and stuff), just suggesting everyone keep an eye on them

never trust o-rings alone - i always use plumbers goop around the threads even if theres an o-ring

with water cooling and a $3000 system at stake, you can never be too safe by making sure everything is sealed up to the max

Put vaseline on the 0 Rings. Do not use a petroleum based lube. The vaseline will extend the life.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. What about teflon tape?

i personally shy away from teflon tape - i personally use purple loctite (for plastics) or plumbers goop (overall favorite)

yeah plumbers putty works wonders on pipes and stuff...my dad uses it all the time.

I'll keep that in mind for my watercooling rig in a few months.
