Default CoolrRiver Deluxe experiment

As you can see i have a CoolRiver deluxe 120mm W/C kit. Some time ago i removed the VGA block and pipes so that it only cools the cpu/n.bridge but i did not notice any decrease in cpu temp. I'm going to be buying a new mobo for my opty soon and i dont really want to remove the n.bridge cooler so if i was to remove the n.bridge block so that it would only cool the cpu should i then see a decrease in cpu temp and would i run into any probs running it like this.

I doubt removing the NB block will increase performance, given that removing the GPU block did nothing. This is an indication that your radiator could cool the water to as near ambient with or without the GPU block. This means either that it is a good radiator, or that your CPU is not putting out much heat.
If you can, replace the GPU block and if you dont want the NB block, remove that. Then you should be all set.
