I'm thinking about running a single BIX (actively cooled with fans) and then a BIX III (passively cooled outside the case, no fans) in my loop that consists of a CPU and GPU block. Would this give me good temps?

Well... If your room was cold enough it would work, but the passive BIX would most likely just decrease flow rate, and hurt your temps. 1 BIX is enough anyway.

the passive radiator would be basically useless, as its too thick and doesnt have enough surface area to be a true passive radiator
i'd say just run one BIX II inside your case with fans :thumbups:

Would that be good enough for a cpu and gpu block? I forgot to mention its the small sized BIX (The single fan size)

Having more then one rad is just counter productive. Either active cool a BIX II, BIX III, or a Dual Heatercore. You'll be killing your flow with more then one rad. Plus the temps can't be lower than your room temp no matter how many rads you have. Save your money for later upgrades.
A BIX I active cooled would be "enough" to cool a CPU and GPU. You wouldn't get great temps but they would be fine.

Its just I dont have much room inside of my rig and even though I have the option of cutting holes into the top of my case, I don't want to (its a Lian Li and I dont want to add dumb holes to it). Putting the active radiator out of the case is out of the question, it would make too much noise.
__________________Those northwater rads arent meant to be used by themselves in a loop. Theyre meant to complement the real radiator by lowering water temps after their pass through the blocks (since the temperature of the water rises once its heated by the blocks). I've heard some good things about those too.

i think you need to have air at least passing by those northwater rads. i have a single heatercore in my case and it is doing very nice on gpy, cpu. summer will test it though. i have a very loud 125cfm fan but it is on a reostat so i only need the fan loud when im gaming.
