I just purchased and installed the Zalman Northbridge Water Block in my system. My concern is this: It's small. The bottom of the block has a very small circle of aluminum that doesn't cover the whole northbridge. My system is rock stable overclocked at 2.33GHz, but before I put the Zalman on I was @ 2.43 GHz. (I can't say for certain it was as stable as it is now because I didn't run Prime95 for long enough.)
Anywho, what I'd like to know is should I scrap this cooler for a larger square one, or does it not really matter? If you look at the installation instructions, the drawing shows a similar setup as mine with the edges of the cooler meeting the edges of a chip. I know it's just a drawing, but you'd figure they'd at least try to put it to scale.
Any advice would be appreciated.

My suggestion is to return the northbridge block. Waste of your water system's pressure. At most just get a aftermarket HS with a fan.

Pauldovi has the right idea. Take it back. A NB block doesn't make a performance difference at all and it brings up your temps and kills pressure/flow. Get a Thermalright NB-1. That should cool your NB very well. Stock NB cooling would even take care of it. The only time you actually need after market cooling on you NB is when you are increasing your voltage to it.

I never really thought of the pressure issue. I figured at worse case I would break even from the stock cooling. Thanks for the advice guys.
