My first try at making a water block for this mother board works quit well
but it is heavy (1.5lbs.) and less than a thing of beauty I am doing a redesign and trying to reduce the weight and make it more appealing this is what I have so far ![]() I was going to solder the two halves togather and use a piece of 1/4 inch Acrylic for a hold down, but I have purchased some 3/8" Acrylic and will try making a top out of that first this will reduce the wieght and possible make it look better

That is being done by hand? Doesn't look like CNC to me :P

Hey I missed this Slick, saw your link in BLockHeads. Looking good! That will make a nice NB block...
![]() I've been sawing out some v-reg sinks. I think I'll make some v-reg blocks next, just do a drill through then solder round stock in the ends as plugs. Should cool fine for that. Using 1/4" brass NPT barbs might look clunky on it, have try it and see I guess. Something to play around with if nothing else. ![]()

Thanks go4life
Ira, I am always amazed by your patience and skill to do those things by hand with a saw and file.

I was leak tested this block Sunday night by setting it up in a loop with out a rad.
I was concerned that this method would not develope suffiant presure to reveal any leaks, much to my amazement after a couple hours of running the loop got hotter than my loop ever did when it was set up and cooling. I guess this just proves that the people who say run your loop- pump, rad., cpu and not pump, CPU, rad. are right

I always ran it like this Reservoir/fillport-pump-rad-cpu-gpu-nb/sb. Good luck getting it to work!
