There are 3 reasons for a resivoir, and while not being necessary, it is recommended:
1. Easily fill you system
2. Remove air from you system
3. Add more water to the system, the more water you have, the harding it is for the water to heat up, giving you lower temperatures.

So a resivoir does have a performance increase to some degree. Mine was not to hard to make, I used hose washers, some barb I found at Ace Hardware, and a $1.29 Rubbermade 1 Gal container!

My dad is bringing home his work camera today, so I will have some picks up something today/tomorrow.

hey buddy, do you want to buy a camera? i found my old canon powershot S20 that i thought was stolen, but i already bought another HP4.0 camera. i only have the camera and usb cable, you can download the software online... but ill sell it to you for dirt cheap, there is nothing wrong with it other then i have no real use for it anymore. 30+shipping can take pics of it if you like.

im thinking about a watercooling kit now instead of the BT, i dont want to do a custom one, id rather start with a kit then upgrade down the road as i see fit... what would you guys reccomend? i have about 150 to spend, not much more. i dont want to upgrade to WC if the temps arent going to beat my bigtyphoon(31c idle bout 40c load, 3.0@3.75)

Get a swiftech kit. www.swiftnets.com

A WCing setup won't beat your Big Typoons idle by much, but it should do better under load. You have good temps with air though. I would use your money and get a better graphics card.
