i already have self-built custom WC, but i was wondering I GENERAL is this was a good deal. ive only seen good reviews by OCers ("really good temps, only WC that fit sin Shuttle XPC!!!even, even OCed good temps and small") and mainstream users ("easy to install, good for starters") alike
__________________this is for my friend who has a shuttle XPC and this is the only WC so small enugh for his casse (it fits in a 5.5 bay) is it good?

I think you forgot to include the particular setup you're considering?

I'm not a fan (pun intended) of bay coolers, because they tend to take the heat that you've gone to a lot of trouble to transfer to water, and blow it back into your case! I have no experience with KingWin.
__________________If a bay cooler is the only thing that will fit, so be it! If you use it, you might try to duct the exhaust out of your case. You could also consider one of those portable all-in-one units (or a custom built external unit). More to haul around, but very easy install and better performance. Hope this helps! ![]()

Friggin' awesome. Now admit it--you have your radiator out the window, right? ![]() Have your WC system posted anywhere? Quote:
Nah, it wasn't that expensive. I love to shop--I buy a couple of notches back from the bleeding edge, and wait for a price drop, so I maximize bang for the buck. Like my 7800 GT was $300, factory overclocked. And the top Dell 19" LCDs are now < $400 each--buy two of them, and for < $800 you have a monitor that will kick the ass of any single widescreen. But I digress Here's a link to the Bigwater SE:http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/2005/w...l-w0005-01.htm I bet your friend will have trouble fitting that radiator in his shuttle case, but I'm just guessing. If so, I'd suggest an external unit like this: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/2005/w...e/cl-w0020.htm I say like that because I haven't researched them, and have no idea of the Tribe is any good. But there are other brands, or he could build his own, and completely kick @ss. Take a look at PaulDovi's system. Make something like it (but with a reservoir smaller than your head--just kidding Paul, I think it rocks.), and you'd have silent, high-performance, easy installing, portable cooling. Come to think of it, I may be talking myself into doing that. Hmmm... I wonder where I can get quick-disconnect fittings?
