Default What are regular temps for Water cooling

I have an overclocked AMD 3100+ I just recently installed a water cooling kit from Cool Master, the same People who made my Case, I'm just curious the safe temps and what they should be regularly... at this moment my Processor Temp is 32 degrees C..is this normal?? it's usually at about 28.5... The reason i ask this is I live in my dorm room and i've hidden my computer away in my closet. I'm just looking to see if these temps are ok

Yeah, that sounds excellent to me, though I'm not an expert. As I recall, stock cooling can get as high as 60C, expecially with Intel, and around there is where processor throttling for thermal control can start.

So I believe 40C or less is nice and safe--someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

A good rule of thumb is: if you can hold your average load temps to around 15degrees over the ambient you have a good working system, I can!

Hi Charlie,

I think I can help you with this one.

Ambient is the temperature of the air going into your case and radiator. Generally it is room temperature.

For some reason Celcius is the convention.

Thanks Charlie, Water cooling is something I have just taken to, kind of like a fish to water. Glad to help any way I can.

I load around 45C, I haven't seen idle in a long time because this is folding 24-7. In a 21C room...
