uhh.. I'm confused. Why do you want watercooling on a Dell mobo if your not going to be able to OC? You just might as well stay on stock cooler until you get a new mobo.

No good.

Socket A is 3.6CMx6.6CM.

Socket 423 is too small, So I guess your up **** creek without a paddle.

What are your thoughts on Zip-ties?

Well, I will do anything that works, thats the bottom line. The only problem that I can see is keeping the block even. That will be really hard to do with zip ties.

Does anyone know where I can buy a sheet of 1/4" lucite? My girlfriend has some amazing woodworking equipment and I believe that I could create a custom top for the block.

Well, You can get lots of that acrylic typish stuff at Home Depot and the such... But I would give DangerDen a shout and see what they have there...

Maybe lady luck is on your side tonight and they'll have a few custom ones?

No harm, No foul, Its worth a shot either way right?

Yeah, I emailed them and pretty much begged them for some help. I have seen them do some custom work and man, I would totally put a dangerden shout on every signature on every forum I visit and would totally write them and love them forever for helping me out of this situation.

The reason I really wanna do this, though, is because I know my CPU temps and GPU temps are astronomical with standard methods of air cooling its just damn loud. So, I figured this would be really fun, and since I am in engineering it seemed like Dell would provide me a challenge. Well, as of right now Dell -1 , Killnine -0.

Try TAP Plastics. I think you can work plexi with woodworking equipment.

Hmm..Very interesting... I would buy, like you said above, some 1/4" lexan or plexi and try to fab up a bracket. Trace the mounting holes on your current block for how it mounts to the block itself, and then proceed to measure and drill for the other socket mounting holes.
