I'm not sure why you are watercooling on a Dell motherboard....

Since you can't overclock, why are you worried about watercooling?

Dell clearly ignored all industry standards when making their motherboard, so I guess you have to drill new holes or get a new mobo.

yep. I have thought about this too. The mobo is proprietary, and uses special PSU connectors, not just any 24-pin connectors. Also, the case is proprietary, and only has room for their special, bottom-mounted PSU. Therefore, if I wanted to really unleash my machine to be an OC-able system, I would need a new mobo, case and PSU. Yeah, right, I am not gonna drop money like that to OC my processor. I am trying to get a X1900 or 7900, and that would really set me back. Thus, I can still deal with Dell's inadequacy for a while without any REAL repercussions. I mean, my Pressy is still a relatively fast chip and its my graphics solution that is holding me back from those precious frames, not my CPU.

Your processor is fine, get the new motherboard and psu.

You can get a SunBeam NUUO 550W SLI for $78 That is a very popular PSU and you can't beat its performance for the price.

Case Super LANBoy $76

Motherboard ASUS P5WD2 $150

That $300 for a FAR better motherboard and PSU. The case is good looking and very popular. With those parts you can accually utalize your watercooling. Get a 7900GT for $300 and you have yourself a pretty powerful gaming system.

I'd be a little weary of building a new lucite top....if you do make sure u leak test the system. I would hate to see u have a true watercooling catastrophe.

That's just what I plan on doing tomorrow when I get my clearflex and Maze4 GPU backplate in tomorrow.

Good news, though, Danger Den's said they would custom build me a lucite plate if it didn't work out. Aparently one of the guy's there helped make a water cooling kit for a family member, who also owns a Gen3 XPS. Schweet. You gotta love DD for something like that, and being so helpful to customers.
