with one of them expanded at the end, it depends on who manufactured them. I think all OEM cores were 3/4 full length, not real easy to get 1/2 tubing over. Take a look at this picture you can see what I mean. They are both 77 bonnie cores but one is an OEM remanufacture and the other is an aftermarket. If you are lucky when you order it you get the after market. then the expanded end of the one tube can be cut off and you now have two 5/8 tubes.

I decided to use some JB Weld for the original fittings I bought, yea yea yea freddy, I know it's not exactly the correct way to do it. But, it should still work like a charm. And I have zip ties to secure the tubing to the fittings so they should stay on just perfect. I'll update tomorrow with pictures to show you all how it turned out.

C'mon guy you can solder them, I have never been a fan of glues for things like this. Do you know anyone who is a plumber? You can find some one to do it for you.

I know, and you are totally right. Yea, I could've soldered them on and I proabably should have. I am happy how they have turned out though and I shouldn't have any problems whatsoever with this setup. Although, next heater core, I will be doing it the way you have mentioned in your posts.
