Default Best External Water Cooling System

Does anyone know what gives the best temps. Its for a socket 939 cpu only. But if theres anything with better temps that do everything i wouldnt mind that. Ive got £300, about $500 to spend on a nice wc setup(OCZ phase doesnt look like its going to happen). And Im going to use it in a Raidmax RX-9 case when it arrives.

Actually the OCZ will happen, in the second or third quarter, otherwise you could get a prommy mach2 off of ebay for around 500 give or take a few.

Thats a lot of money there. You could definitely cool your whole rig for 500 dollars. Maze 4 blocks are on forums all the time for 25-30 bucks, Storm waterblocks (restrictive) or TDX with nozzles go for 60 or 40 bucks (respectively). If you want a super cool system, get a triple 120mm radiator from DangerDen for about 100 bucks (guessing), some nice fans tubing and misc. junk will probably cost another 50 bucks. The D5 pump is 70 bucks, if you get a decent deal. That puts you way under, giving you room to get some more heatsinks and such for passive cooling your ram and whatnot for the best OC. 500 bucks is quite a budget for a watercooling system, if you just look around for the best price.

A length of garden hose, some adapters and a cheap supply of tap water would work...

Just kidding--the only external kits that look decent to me are from Koolance (Exos). the Zalman reserator would only be good for stock temps/loads.

I would go with a custom set up--there are plenty of component choices from these excellent vendors--Swiftech, FrozenCPU, CoolTechnia, Xoxide, CoolerGuys.
