Default New to Overclock.net & wc

Well my 4400 has been getting rather hot lately. And I think it is time for me to upgrade to watercooling.

I've done alot of research and checked out alot of different parts. But I figure I'll take this to the experts. I need to buy the best wc setup I can for under 200 dollars.

Please post what you think are the best particular parts for the job, I'm mostly worried about the radiator. I have a guy that can sell me the pump, resi, and a maze cooling block for 75 dollars.

Thanks for the help!

The radiator is nothing to worry about, just go down to napa auto parts or wherever and order a 1977 bonneville heatercore w/o airconditioning. It's about $23, there's a few radiators that perform better (very few) but they cost upwards of $90 or more.

Yeah, I was trying that too.....it's harder than it sounds unless you buy a kit.

Oh, well, then you're on track, sounds like a good deal. What type of pump?

Everyone here loves the 77 Bonniville heater core, I just bought one from fstfrddy that he modified up for WCing. It's freakin huge LOL it has to be a beast of a cooler. Before stumbling upon his for sale, I was looking at my local Kragen and Autozone and they only had new heater cores for about $50, but that would still meet your budget.

I have purchased my kit, I will be getting it fri and installing it sat.

Here's the run down.
D5 Pump
Maze4 Water Block
Random green dangerden resi
Black Ice Pro III radi for 44 bucks. cheaper than going to an auto store :P
Plus 1/2 tubeing that cost be 20 bucks in total.

So final cost with tubeing anti freeze and all is 150! Did I do good?

It looks to me like you rocked!

I went with the Black Ice Pro III too--triple size, 1/2" fittings installed, built in shrouds for $44 looks like a pretty sweet proposition to me.
