Anybody here paint their '77 Bonneville heater core? If so, post some of your pics, I'd like some ideas.

I don't think painting the heater core would be a good idea at all. You don't want to be blocking up the vents at all, maximum airflow is a must. (especialy when running a TEC)

Paint would add another layer of material (and paint is not known as a good heat conductor) between the heat trying to get out and the air needed to carry it away.
__________________Now, you could probably airbrush a design on just the edges of the fins and not have to big of an effect.

Actually it makes little difference, mine is painted. If you do it just don't spray the paint deep into the fins. just what you can see. Keep it light, just enough to cover. Krylon from Wal-Mart is all you need.

i painted mine BUT i maked off the fins so it was just the outside edges and all came out NICE.

Take a look, how bad could it be, one fan is completely turned off and the other is as low as it will go.
