i just bought a pentium D 805 on newegg and im looking for a good waterblock with 3/8" barbs to cool it. any suggestions would be most appreciated. try and keep it under $70.

The apogee is good for a high flow system in my opinion, and the storm is good for more restrictive loops. Since your using 3/8" tubing, perhaps the storm would be better. Not to mention your budget is pretty high. What kind of pump do you have? If it has a lot of head then you would probably want the Storm block.

i have a via aqua 1200 powerhead the head on it i believe is 6ft but im not positive on that.

so im kinda up in air between the swiftech apogee and the TDX which one should i go with. I really need to make a decisions soon as newegg has already shipped my cpu and motherboard.

Well everyone says Storm/Apogee beats the TDX, I've yet to see one beat mine. I run 38 C load with a GPU in the loop. This is a 660 prescott. All fans are on the lowest my fan controller will go aswell.
