The L45 dumps a lot of heat into the loop. Out of those two, definitely go with the 35. One of the best overall performing pumps is the AquaXtreme 50Z. It is pricey though. If you want to go with an AC pump, then the L35 is probably the best choice.

I have been using a Via Aqua 1300 since last august, They can be modified for near silence, if you don't believe me ask Renegade. Anyway it hasn't skipped a beat and can't be heard over the fans.

the L45 is a high-flow pump, but it lacks pressure severely when compared to other WC-specific pumps, it may pump a ton of water at 0ft head (no restriction) but around 6 or 8 feet of vertical tubing, the flow cuts off to a dead stop
the ideal pump for water cooling has a balance of flowrate and pressure, the Laing D5 being a prime example - it can pump ~315GPH and continue pumping a vertical column of water up to almost 13 feet flowrate is not everything - pressure is much, much more important when utilizing multi-block systems and restrictive waterblocks and/or large radiators so if you're looking for a new pump and have the cash to bust on it, definitely pick up one of the Laing/Danger Den D5 12vDC pumps (also known as the Swiftech MCP-655)

Of course he is right, If you can afford it go for it, I would and will eventually but if not you have other options.

I've seen on ebay where you can get a via aqua 1300 w/ the correct fittings and everything for less than $30 shipped. You also can get a 2300 or 2600 which are more powerful for the same price if you're willing to go down to home depot (or your local hardware store) and put the correct fittings on it yourself. I think that's what I'm going to do when I go wc (hopefully in the near future) I'm just not sure if I want to go the route of the 1300 for a dual waterblock and at least 1 rad design. I may go w/ the 2300 or the 2600. I'll just need to do some more research.

Okay I assume it is the waterblock in your avatar. If this is the case then the L35 will suffice unless you have the radiator sitting way above the case.
__________________I have used a L20 with a CPU and VGA waterblock and a custom copper tube and fin radiator 800mm above the case top with no problems at all in regards to flowrates. so I think you be pretty safe with the L35 and the L45 will not be required.
