Default DD5 pump position.

Just wondering does it matter if the pump is standing or can i rotate the pump? what im planning to do is remove the brackets that it came with and have the "INLET" mounted on my reservoir and the "OUTLET" would be on the side. I wanna do this so the liquid coming from the reservoir does'nt have to travel that much and use gravity and sucktion to fill the pump and for faster flow. Attached photo to make things clear.(i hope)

The pump does not know which way is up or down so it wont make a difference, as long as the pump is primed then it will work just fine
