I'm thinking about stepping into the realm of water cooling for the first time. I've been searching for a good kit that will work for s478 and also 939 when I upgrade. Probably be able to push past 4.0 ghz as well.
__________________Right now I have my eyes on asetek's waterchill. This one comes with the vga and chipset water block. Will come in handy to cool my x850xt and chipset. http://www.overcool.com/exec/product...&item_id=31231 This one has just the cpu block. http://www.overcool.com/exec/product...&item_id=31230 I know that both of these are a little pricey but I don't have much choice due to my case layout. Plus I want something that will last for a while. Do you guys think its worth the money ? Any other advice/comments will be appreciated. Thanks

Theres no point in buying a pre built w/c. Theyre not even close to the performance you'll get by building your own. Check out this thread for buying opinions.

you don't really need to water cool your chipset, you won't get much gain. I'm planning to wc my computer and I'm only getting cpu and gpu water blocks. Also, a major downfall with those kits are the rads. both of them only have a single rad, which would be alright for just acpu, but definately not enough to cool a gpu and a chipset as well. You'll want at least a double rad or a heater core to cool both your gpu and cpu, and possibly your chipset.
If you do want a kit (cause they're easy) then take a look at swiftech's kits. http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-h2o-a...a-extreme.html this one has a universal cpu block and a double rad. Swiftech does have some others that are a bit cheaper too

I decided to get the asetek waterchill with the dual radiator (instead of the single rad) and the cpu/vga/chipset block. I plan to cool my x850 so its cheaper to get it all at once. I've heard good things about these aseteck water blocks too. The chipset block I definetly won't use.
__________________I've heard all the talk about custom cooling, and I picked all the parts that I would've wanted and it all came up to around $220, then add my time for actually getting the stuff and doing any little mods before I assemble it........It almost the same price to be honest. I think I wanna at least see a wc setup in action before I build one myself, next time probably. I think I"m getting a really good wc kit that should give me some nice temps and last long. It should arrive before the weekend so I'll post back once I have it up and running. http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-wat-62.html
