Okay, I'm not satisifed with my current setup so I'm planning on getting a new heatercore. Now I'm not exactly sure which heatercore to get since there are so many of them and since they're made primarly for cars. I'd figured I would post on it before I bought anything. Here are some in voyeurmods & here is the DD heatercore . It seems to me that the heatercores are HUGE. I'm not sure what modle to get either. Also, am I better of getting my heatercore from the local autozone. If so what kind of heatercore should I get and from what car?
Lots of stuff is on my mind, so please respond back fast! Josh

man...I have a heatercore and its not that big, but im wondering if its really doing its job or my temp sensor is fooked I have a constant temp of 38c and my load is around 50c. or maybe it could be my anti freeze:water ratio? I have no clue...

My temps are fooked too! When I get my new heater core I'm taking off the IHS on my 3700+. FOOK THAT!
Also, do you think this pump will be strong enough for a loop that goes CPU > Northbridge > 5½ bay res > Heater core > Pump > back to CPU.... etc.

I would stay away from the pump you have in the link since it only has max of 3 feet of head pressure and flow in the loop you are planning with that pump would be very low IMO. personal prefgerence go for the danger den D5 pump i got it for my loop and it is quiet lots of head pressure, 15ft i think, and flow rate 130gph or so

Would this pump be able to do the job efficiently?
I know the guy at PCwatercoolingshop, so I try to give him busniess when I can.

here are a couple pictures of a modded '77 bonneville heater core. as you can see it is basically the right size for 2 120mm fans. That's what I'm going to use for my wc setup... that I should be able to put together late this week
![]() I'm going to use a shroud from danger den to mount the fans on. You can buy the heater core from autozone for about $22. but you'd have to mod it because it won't come with the correct size barbs. for pumps, if you want 12v dc then the swiftech 655 or dd-d5 is probably the best http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produc...5&cat=4&page=1 http://www.voyeurmods.com/index.php?...=2&prevstart=0 if you are ok w/ 110v ac and then do a relay card or run the cord out the back of your computer then you can look at: Via Aqua 1300 Hydor L35 (what I'll be using) Eheim 1250 http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produc...&cat=26&page=1

Is it hard to mod?
