MCW6002A stepped block on amd 64?

New to Overclock.net

Would a MCW6002A stepped block work on the amd 64 processor? Instead of spending on a new block and just buy new retention brackets for the k8 would it still work or would I need to buy a block that is flat on the bottom?

I can't see why it wouldn't work with the AMD bracket to suit.

Hey there.
__________________Here..is a guide on how to adapt a stepped socket A (462) CPU heatsink onto a socket 939 CPU. So I would assume the similar principles would apply. cheers.. and be happy not mad !
