WHAT? OK, well now I know what it was. The head on the mill probably wasn't indexed properly, so the cutter was tipped at a slight angle in respect to the table. It happens on occasion, I hate the jabronies that have no idea how to use the machines properly! At least you got it looking better.

I would snap a picture of it, but it's too beautiful to be photographed...lol.

All it looks like is a dull gray finish- Not the mirror polished look because this is 2000-grit lapped to a flat finish...Nothing flashy, just flat.

You're right- it does.

I found a lead on mcmaster for 10 packs of hose barbs, black nylon, too

Hopefully I can find a tap wrench big enough for this tap..it's huge.

Oh, and all of mine will be hand lapped to 2,000 grit...Even if it does take 3 days per block

Tip: I use 2, 7/16 open end wrenches as a tap handle for those big taps.
