Default Building a CPU Waterblock

Well, I got the bug again- I came up with a killer design this time!

Attached is the baseplate design in .DXF format for you AutoCAD users- The program I used is eMachineShop, available at emachineshop.com for free.

This is the baseplate, it will have a top plate where 3 barbed holes will go, one inlet, the other two outlets similar in design to the RBX. It gives me the best of both worlds: High flow of the RBX, and jet impingment, like the Storm. Tomorrow, I'll post up a picture of the top plate.

The two holes at the ends of the block are for the Socket 939 holes- 90mm apart.

Good job so far, how are you going to make the impregnations for the holes? theoretically they should be like small bowls or dimples.

Exactly. eMachineShop gave me the option of flat, rounded or drilled, I chose drilled because it's cheaper and gives better transfer. I'll have the Delrin top up in about an hour.

I'm running ACAD, but no idea how to make a Overclock.net flame. Someone could send me a large sized flame, bmp format, I could import it and trace it.

Thats an excellent flame, thanks!
Give me a few min. Well, do you want it 3D? If so, that will take me a longer than a few min.

I'm not sure on a gasket thickness, I'd imagine that it doesn't need to be very thick at all, maybe 1/32". 1/16" at the most. fstfrddy would be one to ask about that.

oh, what size did you need that flame to be, that one is 1 3/32" tall.
