That box looks cool. I like the idea of plexi glass but thats just me.. also dont go with a resovior just use a t-line because it willl take up less space and I'm guesing like most people you leave your comp on for quite a long time and like soloz2 said

the more water you have the longer it will take to heat up... but it will probably still get to about the same temp.

I think i'm going to go with the Acrylic look for my box, and since the shroud of the heatercore is also made of acrylic, this stuff will be perfect welding it into the sides of the box, and for welding the box itself together. This will give it a very clean look, and the bond it makes is supposedly stronger than the acrylic itself even.

Found here incase anyone else might want to do something similar.
http://www.tapplastics.com

The only thing i'm not sure about is how exactly i'm going to open the box since the welds will be permanent incase I need to replace something. I wanted to have it completely sealed with the handle on top for easy portability, but now I think i'm going to have to leave the top open unless a solution is found.

I changed my mind on the cpu waterblock, I decided to go with an apogee instead. I ordered the parts on Monday, so I should have everything by the end of the week, and will start construction then.

I didn't order the nv78 waterblock because I read that there is no benefit to cooling the ram chips on the videocard, and that passive heatsinks will do just as good a job as water, so I'm thinking I might go with a maze4 over the nv78, anyone able to confirm this?

I would drill and tap one side of the box so that a side panel could be removed.

I got all the components for my setup, except for the Apogee + Reservoir I ordered from Swiftech. I ordered it 4/17 and it's now May and I still haven't even gotten a shipping notice from them, gah...

Anyway this is pretty much what it's going to look like, I'm about half way done, I just wish Swiftech would send me my stuff so I can finish it.

yeah, swiftech makes no claims about fast shipping. On their site they actually state that you shouldn't order diretly from them unless no one else has what you want because they fill large orders to their dealers before they ship to customers.

Your best bet would be to cancel the order w/ swiftech and get the apogee from jab-tech. It's $45 shipped and you'll have it within a week.

IMO a T-line is by far the best. If you mount/set it up rigth you can use some ingenious devices to bleed/fill the system and you don;t have the possibility of it cracking.

Check this out here http://guides.pcapex.com/water_cooli...ine_system.php

That's exactly the setup i use and i have NEVER had a leak. And i guarantee it is a helluva lot easier to fill/bleed than a res. Especiallu if you utalize the quick disconnect and an oil free air compressor to force the water through the system to purge the system.
