Question What should I get?

I want to water cool my system and I want to get a nice water cooling system to cool my CPU and GPU. What is the best set up for the money? The XP-90c just isnt cutting it. Eather is the stock GPU cooling.

the best is custom. you can get kits, but they typically cost more and perform sub-par. if you want a kit you'll want to get the swiftech apex ultra and then add a gpu block to it, but by that time you'll have spent 300+ and you can do something very similar for less

yeah, there's some stickies and there are several posts. Many people here run custom wc.

For example I'm running:
swiftech apogee cpu block
polarflo tt gpu block (using dd maze 4 mounting hardware)
double heater core w/ shroud
dd single bay res
currently using a hydor L35 pump, but my new swiftech mcp655 just arrived
masterkleer 7/16" id tubing
and for fluid a distilled water w/ zerex mix and some frozencpu blue uv dye.

Soloz2 is right on the money. You're not getting anything 'better' with a kit. In fact, a lot of the CPU blocks and hardware are of lesser quality what you would make an informed decision to buy on your own.

With a kit, you're paying a premium for less hassles and headaches (supposedly).

Do the research, and pick the right components for your rig, if you do it right, you'll either come out with a system that cools as well as a kit, for far less money, or one that cools FAR better for the same money.

if you do decide on a kit I wouldn't recommend anything other than the swiftech apex ultra. it uses the same cpu block that I have and the same pump I just got. (both high quality and some of the best) It mounts the rad on the rear of the case just like I have my heater core mounted and it uses a double rad.

The GPU blocks are specifically for GPUs and pretty much they all fit the current GPU's. As far as which type, you'll need to do some researching but they vary in temps a little bit.

Adding the second block shouldnt be that hard once you get the whole setup done. It's just a matter of adding 2 more tubes to the current system and cutting one of them down but it will require you to re-test the system for 24 hours so there are no leaks
