I've looked everywhere on the net for a 7800GS mounting hole sketch or official dimensions and can't find jack diddly. I will take the card out tomorrow some time and measure it all and plot it out for you. The holes are really screwy if you haven't ever seen a 7800GS before, I have no clue how this block os going to mount. There will probably have to be tapped holes (instead of bolts going all the way through) in the bottom of the copper block since the holes are so close to the core. Who knows, it will be a good challenge.

Yeah, I can't do much without mounting holes, I can design all I want but without a size limitation there's nothing that I can do. Let me know tomorrow and we'll see what I can come up with, there'll be crap weather tomorrow so I'll be able to do some CAD.

OK, I just threw together this horrible drawing but it will work, I will post it up asap.
EDIT: Here we go. The view is from above where the AGP connector would be on the bottom of the drawing. I know it's hard to read but everything is measured from the origin and it is all in centimeters. If I am going to machine it then it has to be in inches just so you know. Thanks a bunch for designing it, I don't have a good program to do it at my house, only Rhinoceros which is NURBS based.

Okay, the square 2.7 and 7.6cm off from the Datum is the GPU, right? Those mounting holes are all I need if it's right for just a GPU block.

Can you take a picture of your card? Specifically, around the GPU, and anything in close proximity. I have an idea and don't know if it'll work.

Here you go, the AGP slot would be on the right hand side of that picture. Notice how close the holes are to the core, that's what I am concerned about.

Can you measure the dimensions of the core, length * width?

Thanks, this will help me out to make a more efficient design.

That was actually a picture of my old card before I RMA'd it. I took that pic when I had the HSF off to put AS5 on it, I suppose I could take the new one apart and do the same, let me look for some info on the net first though, would save me time and hassle.
