The reason people use a res is to make bleeding of the system easier. The reason bleeding becomes easier with a res is because it uses gravity to push the water through the system. Meaning that the res needs to be at the very top.

Look through all the pics of rigs and you will se that everyone with a res has theirs mounted high in their system. Could you please link me to your specific res? If that is the fillport res you use it like this: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produc...0&cat=6&page=1

well, im using the res for looks. and to also have more water in the system. I understand that I am not using my res in the normal way, but I fail to understand why it would make my temps higher. The gpu and t line are feeding the res, and the pump gets a fresh supply of water from the res.

You have to bleed the system if you move the pump higher anyway because the cable probably won't reach. If you want to get this system performing better, you will have to sacrifice the time to bleed and refill and recut some tubes.

Okay, maybe you should make your questions more clear before you start copping an attitude. Just get a bracket of some sort, drill a hole and mount it. Go to home depot.

With a T line you have no need for the res & with a res you have no need for a T-line. I'd just get rid of the res. I understand you want it for looks, but you need to decide if you want looks or better temps.

With a watercooling system you want as few "extra" parts as possible. The more parts the less efficient it becomes. You also should double check the amount of thermal paste you put on your blocks.

the blocks should be alright, i put a small amount on the apogge, then smeared it off to fill it in a bit, then put a small amount on the ihs and screwed it on.
