Default What will a larger water resevoir do for me?

I recently setup a swiftech based water cooling system and the water resevoir is on the small side. 4tallx2widex3long. Would a larger resevoir increase my cooling?

Theorically it should increase your cooling the first 5-10 minutes and anything will be like before. Don't know why you should buy a new resevoir.

you would not have much of a temperature decrease by increasing the size of your reservoir, unless it is a reservator (resevoir that is also a radiator). If you had a larger reservoir, you might lower the temperature slightly, as the water in the reservoir would stay for longer and possibly dissipate some heat (once again, a reservator might improve that)

I think it should lower the temperature, but only for a limited time period. You can use chemistry to figure it out and stuff but I don't know the formulas right off hand.

It would take longer for temperatures to rise because it has to heat the large resevoir too.

Thanks guys good to know...anything else i can do to further drop the heat?
I dont have the stomach for Phase Change ... looks way to dangerous and i have kids running around. The switech parts are in the link.

My temps will still occoasionally hit 50 but very infrequently. It usually hovers around 47 with my OC after I have been playing FEAR for a few hours and folding on the second core...maybe this is the limit...as a side note my ZALMAN would hit 55c at my current OC and sometimes even higher.

That's not right...something is wrong

Reseat the CPU waterblock. How much thermal paste did you use? you only need a bb sized blob. Try that ans see what temps you get.
