I was trying to turn the red screw on the back of the pump to turn up the flow and the screw cracked and then came out of the pump. The flow did increase but now the screw will not hold itself in the same spot. Was there some special technique to turning this screw?

Well it comes from the factory set to 5 which is full speed. If you turned it past that then thats probably why it broke. If it holds it's speed...just leave it and hope it doesn't burn out.

As long as you didn't force it to far around it should be ok. I don't think there is any way to fix it though.

Actually my 655 was pointing at 2 as well, until I double checked an the arrow was pointing to 5 so you may have broken it....
