Unhappy Im and IDOIT!!! helpMe!!!

I recently was smart enough to get a DIY watercooling system with a white water wb and a via aqua 1300 pump along wiht a heater core. However someone recetnly turned on the comp w/o plugging in the pump (i believe) and it prob overheated. Here are the symptoms... someone plz help. When i press the power button with the cpu power connector connected to the mobo, the comp turns on for 2 seconds, and shuts off, no Bios beeps or anything. when i unplug the cpu power connector, the mobo powers up, and stays on, but no beeps either. I have already tried resetting the cmos to clear the overheat protection. ANY help is a great thanx. PLEASE help me!!!

Might want to fill in your system specs in your profile. If you have an intel processor it is very unlikey for the processor to burn up with the throttling technology from what I've heard. Although that likely isn't effective without any sort of cooling whatsoever. I had my pump not come on with the comp before but it just kept rebooting so I'm not sure how yours would be able to run long enough to burn up.

first of, fill ur cp and then we will try to help as much as we can. in any case, i would suggest that you rip everything out and then reassemble everything one more time. when u start ripping things out, remove the cmos battery from the mobo and continue working. once everything is in place again, reinstall the battery and try to power up. i dont think ur cpu would be dead by now unless of course the computer was operating till it shut down. even then i dont think that ur cpu could have been fried yet.

Specifications please..

In the meantime connect all your PSU connectors to the motherboard and remove the RAM modules. Turn on the PC and see if it goes to post and beeps.

Not looking real good here for you.

i highly doubt u fried ur cpu by not running ur pump. I'm kinda absent minded and do this all the time. It will simply just shut the processor down. Intel and AMD both have overheat protection on die so its not a huge deal if you forget to turn on ur pump.
