Default Few Newbie Quistion's

since it's my first time with water cooling I took the safer route the first time and bought a unit so I wouldn't much something up lol

and after saying that I have multiple questions

I bought a WaterChill Xternal unit

1) Should I bother putting the black ice xtreme III Radiator I got in the loop ?

2) if so, where in the loop do I put it ? last on return ? between apu and gfx card ? the 120MM fans . do they blow in and across or out ?

3) how long should I keep my tubing from the unit to my box ?

thanks in advance

I have a F@Q in my signature from Burn. It should answer allot of the question that you may have and if you have more. Just post them and someone will answer them for you.
Good luck with that W/C project.

1...Depending on your temps it might help might not. It will slow down the flow of the liquid also. If you are getting good temps(close to ambient) then it prob won't help.
2...If you use the rad it should be just before the cpu in the loop. The coolest water will be right out of the cooling unit/rad. The fans can be set up either way....I have mine set to blow into the rad and act as an exhaust also. My rad is mounted in my case. This may cause a slightly higher overall temp to the water system if your case does not have good air flow. Using the fans to pull in air from outside will give a lower temp but cause the case temps to go up if you can't exhaust it properly.
3...The longer the tubing the more flow restriction you will have. A shorter run will be better. The placement isn't really important as long as it's not picking up heat from something else like a vid card.
