Default SW power connector

Ok, heres the problem. Im assembling my WC kit and i find out that there is a thing on the pump thats called a SW power connector. Its one of those small small 2 pin connectors that you connect to the mobo. The problem is, that theres MANY of these pins on my mobo and im not sure where to put it. There was only one place that i found only two next to each other, and not a higher amount. Im not sure what this SW Power connector is for, is it optional? Do i need it? What does it do? And what happens if i plug it in wrong?

EDIT: Oh, theres another thing too. theres one Female (holes) SW power thing and one male (pins) SW power thing. These two are very close together and it almost seems like theyre made to be plugged into each other... whats the use of that?

Isn't that what turns your pump on when your PC turns on? That would be my guess.

Is that the gigabyte kit by chance? I know on that on it has a connector that goes on the power switch header on the mobo then the case power switch connects to that. They do it in case the pump fails it will shut the system down. The kit should work fine w/o it as the pump should fire up when the psu does, you just don't get the auto off function.
