So I live in Houston and since it's the summer my new CPU is idling around 50 or more degrees (celsius). I want to know if I can get a water cooling setup (absolute max I would pay is around $100) for something that will get me under 35. No air cooling is helping.
Prebuilt kits are fine but I'd like to get something where I just buy some stuff at Fry's and some stuff at AutoZone to come in less. I mainly need CPU cooling but some for my GPU would be great.

go to autozone and get a 77 bonnie heater core w/o air for about $20 then mod it so it has 1/2" barbs and you've got a cheap and really good rad.
then get a via aqua pump for less than $30 shipped on ebay that already has 1/2" barbs on it get some masterkleer tubing from mcmaster.com for $15 or less and a swiftech apogee cpu block from jab-tech for $45 shipped there you go $100 total and you'll have a great wc setup. granted you'll have to make a shroud for the rad and put a couple 120mm fans on it, but you can do that for fairly inexpensive
