I made a website for a friend, its just regular html, and when browsing it in Firefox the site looks fine. But if you view it in Internet Explorer some images are colored wrong. This is in IE7 and if you view it in IE6 you see blue around transparent images. Is there a way to fix this or is IE just bad?

You are referring to how IE6 dealt with PNG images. In IE6, the only images that allow transparency are gifs. Either change your PNGs to non-transparent images, convert them to gifs, or tell your users to get with the times and upgrade thier browser
