I just installed Dreamweaver CS3, and when I open a page to be edited, the code works, but the design view doesn't have any style. When I preview it in Firefox and IE, it has the style and looks great. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix?

Try clicking on design instead of split.

Same problem in design view. The styles won't show up.

Only time that's ever happened to me is when the style sheet gets miffed in some way. Usually by undoing the change made to "insert-website".css, I get the design view working correctly. Thing is, I've never tried to preview a page when this happens so I don't know if that's what happened here.

1. Is the CSS file in the dreamweaver site?
2. have you restarted dreamweaver?

Well....I would think putting the CSS file in the dreamweaver site your in should fix it.

The CSS file isn't local.

Thats why dreamweaver is not picking it up in the design mode.
Your gonna need to download the file and put it into the site. Hope this helps. ![]()
