How do i create a seach field on my site?

Hey.. im working on a new website, which needs that ability to let users search for certain objects (videos).
Right now, the rough design of the site is coded in php, html, and css. Anyone know how i can do this? And preferably free. I know google has like a quick version, but its pretty pricey. THANKS!
