Default Need help embedding flash video

Hey guys

The company I work for wants some flash videos on their website. They have gotten the .FLV files from the parent site and want to use the same ones on theirs. We have other sites with flash videos but we got 3rd party to turn AVIs into flash.. so they did everything for us.

I'm looking at the source code for the parent site, copied it and replaced the file locations to where our FLV's are but it won't work. In their code it has this:
Quote:
<embed src="FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf"
Now, we don't have any .SWF files, just two .FLV files of the the two videos we want up.

I really don't get all this SWF/Flash player stuff. I need a hand to hold!

The SWF player is what plays the FLV file. So you need an SWF player in order to play those FLV files.

If you can't get the original SWF files you are going to need find a new one. There are plenty of them out there. Just google SWF FLV player and I am sure you will find one.

Or you can download FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf from the parent site and stick it in the same folder as the FLVs.
