Spammers, need help stopping them!
Hey guys, my website is getting spammed with viagra and cialis adverts, and it is pissing me off. Cause it is giving my site a bad reputation on web of trust, and the spam is also annoying, deleting it and stuff is a hassle, especially coming up with new things to say that make the spammers angry and sad.
I am running SMF (simple machines forum) And I am referring to my forum. Not to offend anybody, but i want to block india, as 95 percent of my spam comes from there. website: armedxforce.isgreat.org (yes freehosting go away)

btw they seem to be human. that's the problem. I have a captcha, but ill try this anyway.
72 members, probably only 15 are actual members who are not advertising.

Sadly, some spammers outsource their captcha entries so there's really no way around it. I usually add 1 captcha during registration and an email verify with a captcha to confirm.

there's a easy way to do this. add a requirement to the registration that is like 1+2*5=___ or have a question like click the picture that has a car, and you have 10 other pics up there. just change them every few months.

I made it so that i have to confirm every registration..
I also put on the registration thingy, "we will contact your ISP" blah blah so its clear to them.. doubt that will do anything tho.

most cases they hide thier ip by using websites and such. I know it is possible to filter your server from IP#-IP#. Figuring out the #code is your next issue.
Combat arms the game I used to play cut out any phillipines area IP with some filter like i explained above. *disregard if known, its a gallant effort here.
