How do I make a rules page on forum board
I'm making a forum board for personal use, the board is located on home root (exactly like overclock.net is)
all i want to do is compile a page i can link to that has a bunch of text that details rules in a similar fashion done here

Make a page with your template and the rules in it? You can do like rules.php or rules.html or whatever. I use the php approach lately but I have been working more with CMS scripts. It shouldnt be any different though.

You could probably find a mod that will let you do that.
A couple of examples: phpbb3 SMF IDK Vbulletin, but I'd assume it uses similar modules.

im on phpbB
I installed AutoMOD and gonna run a modx app to see if I can get linked mod for phpBB to work if you guys wanna see the page its networkedgamers.com  nothing there but its gonna have some nice addons soonso far i've got networkedgamers.com/chat working and servers.networkedgamers.com forwards to my home game server

Let us know how it goes.
I'd assume the mod works well, but honestly I got fed-up with trying to get bb3 to work/look the way I wanted and switched SMF. The mods/hacks seem easier to work with but maybe that's just me . You might also want to look into a "portal" mod. These things allow you to install all sorts of nifty blocks that can contain whatever you want (html, php, pre-programed stuff). You can place them almost anywhere on the pages of your chosing within your forum. Sooo many possibilities The portal mod I'm using also gives gives the option of setting and designing a home page for the forum. I'd assume others do as well. Good Luck!
