Default IE bug, images still show?

Strange bug I'm not sure why it's happening, So far It happens on versions 6 - 8 as far as I can tell.

Site in question, http://secure.i-cop.net/~cwwsloc/

I am trying to make the top button navigation work well, if you turn off images. So I turn off images in IE, refresh, looks fine. When you mouse over either of the 2 ends, Home or Contact Us, they images flash back on....

Input? Does IE only block images that are .jpg IN css? the center buttons are repeating jpg files, and the ends are gif (in IE6) and png in all other browsers.

hmm, I made the Home image a .jpg and Now in IE6 it works as intended, still messed on the other IEs

It appears the the css code for your mouse overs is a little - over populated - the background color for instance should not be either a green, or teal as the ends currently are, because they occasionally glitch out and show.

.png's and IE have never gotten together well. I see you made some jpg, and some .png. make them ALL .png, set background to #ffffff and PROFIT.
